Made Or Modified

To modify or not to modify, that is the question?

This page is dedicated to all those modified or made in India wheels, let's start with Jugaad or also known as Jugard. It is a type of vehicle, found in rural India, made by carpenters, by fitting a diesel engine on a cart. They are known for having poor brakes and cannot go faster than about 60 km/hr. They are powered by diesel engines which were intended for running agricultural irrigation pumps.

Jugard are used to carry more than 20 people at a time in remote locations and poor road conditions. Often the case, that the brakes of these vehicles fail, requiring one of the passengers to jump down and manually apply a wooden block as a brake. These vehicles do not have any vehicle registration plate as they are not registered with the Regional Transport Office. Hence, they end up not paying any road tax.

Jugaad are not officially recognized as road-worthy but they have now become rather popular as a means of transport.

People modify and convert cars, it's their personal expression but sometimes you just can't help wondering why...

Premier 118 NE
It's an old school car; I just wish they had left it like that. Instead this guy added an air scoop to it.

Maruti Suzuki Swift
Swift is one of the most modified cars, it's easy to modify because it already has a sporty profile but please don't make it look so ugly.

The colour and the stickers are so bad. Yellow, white and red, I don't know what this guy was thinking; maybe he was too drunk to think.

Can you guess which car this is?

Maruti Suzuki Swift
Yeah! It's the swift again, with those roof lights. I guess he can't see well at night.

Maruti Suzuki Swift
"Only those who strongly believe in rebirth should risk coming near". Why in the hell would he write this on the car? It's not funny, it's just plain stupid.
